Hedwig!

Hey, I just fixed my scanner!!!!!!! You probably didn't know it was broken, but I was having trouble. Actually, I uninstalled and reinstalled the scanner several times, and finally, I tried a different a USB port - because I have quite a few - and Voila!!!!!!! Now it works. So I got a bad port. Oh well. Now I know.

Well, some weeks back, Daily Snitch was looking for Hedwig art and fic, and I wanted to share these pics of a Hedwig pinata I made for Son's birthday some years ago. BUT. Yeah....scanner not working.

So, here we go; better late than never!

Snarry-A-Thon entry

The reveals have been up at Snarry-A-Thon for a little while, and I'm finally getting around to posting my entry. It seems like the entry went up forever ago, as it was posted on the first day! It was hard not to respond right away to all the wonderful comments I received.

This was one of the best, most relaxed and enjoyable fests I've participated in.

Title: Wormwood and Asphodel
Artist: [info]stellamoon
Media: graphite pencil and Photoshop painting
Fanart: Snape/Harry for the Snarry-A-Thon at [info]snape_potter
Rating:NC-17
Prompt: #126, Famous artworks reinterpreted
Summary: This is my hommage to Klimt's frieze "Ode To Joy"
A/N: Klimt's frieze, "Ode To Joy", was part of an exhibition in honor of Beethoven (that's a fan work, right?). The Beethoven frieze (of which there were multiple panels) interpreted Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with its closing chorus, “Ode to Joy,” and embodied Klimt’s belief that love and art were the keys to life. The frieze was presented in the exhibition with the accompanying quote; "Joy, thou gleaming spark divine. This kiss to the whole world!" It is interesting that Beethoven's symphony, in turn, was written as somewhat of an accompaniment to Schiller's poem, "Ode To Joy", which makes the Ninth Symphony, basically, a fan work, also! So, my Snarry-A-Thon entry is positively steeped in fandom tradition! I hope you enjoy.

Title:Aftermath
Artist: [info]stellamoon
Media: Inktense pencils
Fanart: Harry Potter
Rating: G

Artist's Notes:Today is my birthday! I understand that some like to be the giftor on their birthday; not just a giftee. So, in that spirit, I'm offering up a wee bit of art. Of course I really did it as a gift to myself, because it was fun - but hey, I like to share. I hope you like it!

The HP Slash Super Challenge

Title: Slytherin Pair
Artist: [info]stellamoon
Media: graphite on paper, Photoshopped for effects. I tried for a looser, less detailed style than my usual.....with rather limited success, I'm afraid.
Fan Art
Challenge:The HP Slash Super Challenge at violet_quill's LJ
Prompt/Pairing: Draco and Blaise
Rating: PG
Notes:
[info]violet_quill is hosting The HP Slash Super Challenge at her LJ. It's really fun because to participate, you simply submit a set of 3 random pairs of numbers, and she will check her chart and inform you what characters correspond with your numbers. Then, you pick the likeliest of your 3 options and write or draw an entry! It's that simple. I got really lucky and drew a great and easy to do pairing, but I'll bet there will be lots of more interesting ones. Posting is anytime, now through May 31!

Enjoy!!

Fan Art!

I actually drew this a long time ago, and never posted it because it was intended to be an illustration to accompany a fic a friend was writing. Initially, I wanted to wait until the fic was being posted before posting my illustration. But since it's been such a long time, and I'm not sure of the status of the fic any longer, I'm posting the illustration now.

This is my rendition of Draco as a young child.

Now that the reveal is up at [info]hd_holidays, I'm posting my entry. I really enjoyed doing this one, though it didn't really take very long. My giftee, [info]oootheitooo was very appreciative and seemed to really like it, which quite made my day!

Fan art NC-17

Ok, I've decided to post this directly on my journal afterall, in spite of it's NC-17 nature. Whatever happens, happens.

ETA: Well, Photobucket took it down (although I can still see it here!!) because it violated their TOS. If you want to see it, you can go to Walking The Plank and look it up under stellamoon.....or see it at Snarry Holdays

Snarry Games Entry

I'm not really sure why I haven't posted this in my IJ until now. The Snarry Games were great, and I had a lot of good comments, and a great time, in general, looking at everyone else's art. My chosen genre was fanon because I wanted to illustrate my favorite scene from [info]dementordelta's Dumbledore's Folly.

This next drawing is one I did a little over 2 years ago, for that same friend I did the Draco picture for.( kind of a matched set)
I haven't posted this one before. If anyone recognizes the pose, it's because it came from a beautiful Calvin Klein ad (model Joel West) that I shamelessly stole. But you gotta remember.....I was still really just learning to draw people at the time.

Art Post - sorta

Ok, this next one was just something I did really quick because I thought it was funny. So, this is certainly not to be taken seriously!

I was so amused by [info]elfwreck's Team Wartime entry in the Snarry Games entitled, "...Or Are You Just Happy To See Me" that I felt I just had to draw this.

to blossom, and to bring forth fruit; for like as herbs and trees
bring forth fruit and flourish in May, in likewise every lusty heart
that is in any manner a lover, springeth and flourisheth in lusty
deeds. For it giveth unto all lovers courage, that
lusty month of May." -Sir Thomas Mallory, Le Morte de'Arthur 1485

So, this next one was for a fest I signed up for...otherwise, it never would have seen the light of day!! And that's because Harry's face never came out the way I wanted. I must have redrawn it 7 times, and it just got worse and worse. This, in his final incarnation, he finally looked at least human, so I thought I should quit while I was behind! Sometimes, things just don't work out the way you plan.
